Emily and James potter

James POTTER was baptised in Castle Camps on 21 June 1863, the 5th child and 3rd son of William and Emily (nee IVES). When aged only 18 he married 19 year old Emily SORREL from Helions Bumpstead and they enjoyed a long marriage and a family of seven children: Alice, Horace, William, Sophy, Julia, Thomas and Frederick. James POTTER	Emily POTTER (nee SORRELL)

Their third child William (Billy) Potter was born about 1886. In 1901 he was a cattleman, working on a farm in the Castle Camps area. Nothing is yet known of his army experiences.
